Where will you be at age sixty-five?

August 8, 2010 - 10:33 am 3 Comments

“Where will you be at sixty-five? Five men in six at the age of sixty-five are living on charity. Just one in twenty is able to live without working at sixty-five.

“That is what the American Bankers Association found when it took one hundred healthy men at twenty-five and traced them to sixty-five.

“These hundred were healthy to start with. They all had the same chance for success. The difference lay in the way they used their MINDS. Ninety-five out of one hundred just do the tasks that are set them. They have no faith in themselves - no initiative p none of the courage that starts things. They are always directed or controlled by someone else.

“At sixty-five, where will you be? Dependent or independent? Struggling for a living - accepting charity from someone else - or at the top of the heap?”

Inside the Comfort Zone

July 14, 2010 - 6:44 pm 1 Comment

Inside the comfort zone is, well, comfortable. It’s what we are accustomed to having, being, or doing. It’s the way we are conditioned to be.

It’s also where you want to stay if you never want to reach any big goals, or attain wealth.

Think about this. How many times have you said ‘no’ to something simply because you’ve said ‘no’ to it in the past? How many times have you said you wanted something, but when someone came to you with something to help you get it, you said, ‘no thanks’?

Think of what you want, and your comfort zone, in this way.

Imagine a young eagle sitting in the nest, on the sheer edge of a cliff. This young bird has never flown before, but has everything needed to reach anywhere he wants to go.

There’s only one thing he lacks; experience.

Is there risk in leaving that nest? Of course. There’s risk in everything you do.

What is the potential reward?

When you consider what it is you want in life, and then consider staying as you are, inside your comfort zone, which of the following would you regret:

  • staying where you are, losing the dream, and strengthening the fear of venturing out
  • going for the gold, stumbling, and attaining the silver

Don’t fear failure. Fear complacency.

Failure teaches you, helps you grow, and gives you wisdom for the future. That said, is ‘failure’ even failure? No.

You learn by doing. If you want to be a great writer, then write. If you want to be great in sales, then sell. If you want to earn a million dollars, begin by earning the first.

If you want anything more than you have now, leave your comfort zone frequently. You’ll be surprised to learn that as you venture out, your comfort zone will grow as well.

Awesomely Intense!!

June 28, 2010 - 11:43 pm No Comments

This past weekend, I spent in Dallas at T. Harv Eker’s ‘Millionaire Mind Intensive’. To say it was awesome is truly an understatement.

This program addresses the core of what either makes one a success or keeps him from success. Harv calls this a person’s “money blueprint”. You can also think of it as your financial thermostat.

Just as your thermostat at home keeps the temperature at the level you set it for, everyone has a “financial thermostat” that keeps his/her income at the level it is set to achieve.

If you are like me, you’ve tried for many years to get your income to a level where you are free to have, be, and do the things you really want… …and have come up short. It’s because your “money blueprint” is keeping your income at the level it’s conditioned to be.

So what is your “money blueprint” set for, and how do you change it? That’s exactly what ‘Millionaire Mind Intensive’ will teach you.

Trust me; it will be the best 3-days of learning you’ve ever had (and it gets even better).

“It’s not what you don’t know; it’s what you know, that just ain’t so, that keeps you from success”

Wishing you only the best in life,

Shawn Madden

Network Marketing Success

April 27, 2009 - 9:29 pm No Comments

One of the highest thrills of building a Network Marketing business is seeing folks attain both time-freedom and financial-freedom.

It’s great to see folks begin taking steps to improving their lives and pursue their financial and personal goals.

However, if you are in Network Marketing (also called Multi-Level Marketing, or MLM), you will see some people quit – sometimes only months after joining.

There are hundreds of reasons why people quit. Many suddenly leave due to family issues, job or money issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.

But there are many more who don’t quit suddenly. Instead, they begin a “cycle” that if left unchecked will most likely end with them quitting.

Heard That MLM Businesses are Scams?

August 21, 2008 - 12:30 pm No Comments

If you said “yes”, I’ve got a surprise for you.

You’ve likely been enthusiastically invovled in Multi-Level Marketing many times; without knowing it.

Have you ever had a great meal at a restaurant, then recommended it to friends or family? Did they go, eat, and then recommend it to others?

Your recommendation of that business directly, and indirectly, brought them more customers; and more profits.

This is Multi-Level Marketing. Remember the old commercial? “They’ll tell two friends; and they’ll tell two friends; and so on; and so on”.

The difference, in the restaurant example, is that the restaurant neither compensated you with discounts nor commission on the profits you brought.

Businesses spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for advertising. TV, radio, billboards, internet, etc.. This money is spent before they ever see profit.

Shaklee Corporation does not spend money on public advertising. Instead, they rely on independent distributors to market the business and products. The profits from these sales are shared with the people who directly, and indirectly, had a part in the sales process.

This means, the hundreds of thousands of dollars Shaklee saves on advertising, can be invested in developing higher-quality products and incentive programs for distributors.

There are hundreds of MLM businesses today, and more coming. This is a multi-billion dollar industry.

So, why would anyone want to work to advertise for a MLM company? The answer is simple: The residual income potential is incredible.

Imagine going to college for 4 years; working part-time a few days a week. Then, after you graduate college, you can retire with the monthly income you’ve generated from your part-time job.

Seems far-fetched? In a “regular” part-time job, yes.

In MLM, you can, while working at your full time job, join a Multi-Level Marketing business; and in 4 years or less (a waiter did in 2 1/2), you can generate enough “walk away” income - money that comes in every month whether you do anything or not - to retire for life.

If you want a better life - more time with family and friends, or more income, so you can do the things important to you - then Multi-Level Marketing is the way to achieve your goal.

—————-

Are their some scams out there? Definitely. But most MLM companies are legitimate and have very generous compensation plans.

But how can you decide which one to join?

I’ve chosen to partner with Shaklee Corporation. Their products are guaranteed to always be safe, to always work, and to always be environment-friendly (”green”).
